European-inspired Vesper – one of the OG Bangkok sipper spots with a decade of history along Convent Road under its belt – is serious about cocktails. Accented by leather furnishings and forest green counters, the establishment has continued to evolve, most recently under bar manager and British transplant Tom Hearn, who built his career at the American Bar at The Savoy and other lauded London establishments. Hearn recently launched the People of Vesper Vol. 2 menu, honouring the roster of guests who have frequented this neighbourhood bar in the years prior to Hearn’s arrival in early 2023.

The lineup of classic cocktails and new creations, plus the Mediterranean-leaning tapas menu, represent the bar’s polyglot origins in an unpretentious approachable manner to the everyday drinker. Where the signature Vesper – elegant in its simplicity and requiring no further introduction – is one that will forever remain on the menu, the Persian Old Fashioned supercharges this timeless tipple with Madeira wine, apricot brandy, coffee beans and almond praline for the ultimate nightcap.
