Founded in 2015 by head bartender Andrew Whibley, Cloakroom is a unique 25-seat cocktail bar located in the heart of the Golden Square Mile. Entering Cloakroom is shrouded in the ideal amount of speakeasy cloak-and-daggery, as a host emerges from an innocuous wood-panelled area next to the tailor shop to welcome well-informed cocktailians.

Befitting a bar that seats perhaps two dozen, this a no-reservations, no-menu, kind of establishment. After a short chat with your bartender for the evening about your preferred poison, bespoke creations will be on the way. If you were to specify an Old Fashioned spiked with something bitter or savoury, for instance, the bar staff will stir up a memorable and inventive bubbly libation to your taste. It also houses one of Montreal's finest selections of vintage spirits, with a particular focus on amaros and bourbon.
