The third annual Asia's 50 Best Bars list was revealed at a ceremony in Singapore.
Manhattan bar topped the Asia's 50 Best Bars list for the second time in a row this year, with head bartender Philip Bischoff picking up his trophy at the Capitol Theatre in Singapore. It was the first time Asia's 50 Best Bars has been announced at an awards ceremony, following in the footsteps of The World's 50 Best Bars and older sibling The World's 50 Best Restaurants.
This year's list saw eight new entries from Hong Kong to Bangkok and a host of special awards given to individual bartenders and bars. Singapore and China tied as the countries with the most bars on the list, with a high of 12 each, and nine different countries were represented overall.
Manhattan is located within the Regent Hotel, Singapore, and serves as a haven for Bischoff's signature Manhattan as well as plenty of other cocktails inspired by American history, from colonial-style punches to bourbon sours. The bar was also voted No.7 in The World's 50 Best Bars 2017 list.
The inaugural winner of Asia's 50 Best Bars in 2016 was 28 HongKong Street in Singapore, which now stands at No.12.
