With its brightly coloured psychedelic decor, dripping candles and exposed brickwork, Bar Planet’s approach may be irreverent, but it is unquestionably dedicated to that most timeless of classic cocktails – the martini – to the point of obsession. The Bar Planet Martini is the centrepiece of the cocktail list here, made with the venue’s own Infinite Spirit, accompanied by vermouth, lemon and olive. This can also be served in miniature, as the Mouthful Martini, or long with soda. For those who prefer it dirty, the bar’s version contains both seaweed and brine as well as three olives. And there’s the option to create your own, specifying the gin or vodka, how wet or dry you like it and your preferred garnish. Not a Martini fan? Try the Scropino, made with a seasonal flavour of sorbet and available without alcohol too. Don’t miss Martini Mondays either.
