Blindfolds, balaclavas and a secret speakeasy, this multi-sensory extravaganza is turbocharging immersive cuisine as we know it. To preserve the very clandestine nature of proceedings, diners are given very little information before booking, and once they have, just instructions to a pick-up spot in central La Paz and a blindfold for the mini-bus journey to an unknown destination.
What ensues is a spectacle where no sense is left unstimulated, with smoking cocktails, evocative soundtracks and a series of utterly original dishes resembling everything from volcanic landscapes to a beating heart. Chef Marco Antonio Quelca Huayta takes pride in an evolving menu that uses ingredients from across Bolivia’s 24 distinct microclimates, ranging from the subtropical to sky-skimming altitudes of 3,600 metres above sea level. With ten food pairings including cocktails (non-alcoholic versions are available), come hungry and with an open mind. Bookings can be made via Whatsapp and social media.
