Citrus & Cane

Victoria, Canada

Stepping into Victoria’s Citrus & Cane not only transports you to a tropical paradise, but back in time by a few decades to the 1970s. Fittingly, this is the decade in which this building was built, and this is gloriously represented in the decor, from hexagon ceiling to the tropical-themed mural by artist Paula Gonzalez. The bar is set over three levels, with an oval bar at the centre and an abundance of natural light from large windows along the wall. That tropical theme is reinforced through the drinks here, starting with an extensive collection of rum and leading to an expansive cocktail list spread out over various sections. The first is simply titled Tropical Cocktails and is peppered with tiki classics. For those feeling flush there’s the Feeling Boujee section as well as an inventive selection of hi-balls with a choice of 1oz or 2oz pours.
