Hosa

Goa, India

Hosa only opened its doors in late 2022 but has made quite the debut, appearing in press worldwide and winning a clutch of awards. Set within a thoughtfully designed and spectacularly high-ceilinged traditional Portuguese villa, the restaurant includes a chic cocktail bar and also extends on to a picture-perfect dining terrace overlooking the Anjuna River, surrounded by the verdant landscape. With such a sense of place it's only right that the menu is an ode to all things South Indian, with chef Suresh DC and his team using the region's signature spicing in dishes like Tellicherry pepper crab roast with garlic butter, coconut rice and mud crab plus slow-cooked duck kottu parotta with egg and peppers with a dessert of Mysore Pak coffee cheesecake with chickpea fudge, corn crumble and ghee crema.
