Located in the western part of Carmel Market, M25 has grown a loyal following among Tel Aviv’s meat-lovers since its 2015 opening. The small dining room features simple wooden seating and concrete, while a well-stocked butchery counter displays cuts for diners’ perusal. ‘Arais’ is a must-try: chargrilled lamb, tahini and salad, stuffed in a fluffy pitta flavoured with the meat’s juices. For mains, the 600g prime rib represents great value at $10 per kilo. Sweet tooth? Go for the ‘crack pie’ – honey cake served with oatmeal and crème fraîche.
