You’d be forgiven for thinking you’re in New York as you step into this pumping dining room with awesome music and ultra-cool vibe. Seeming like the kind of place to go to be seen, vertiginous ceilings frame the moodily modern room, which is spliced into multiple dining areas by decorative screens. The menu pulls from outstandingly talented chef Yuval Ben Neriah’s travels though Asia, and is split, at dinner, neatly into sections marked ‘Water’, ‘Wood’, ‘Fire’, ‘Earth’ and ‘Metal’. It’s a nod to both technique and style. If you want a real feel for the food, grab a seat at the central counter, where the team are on hand to give you a full run down. From shrimp har gow with Jerusalem artichokes, to red tuna sashimi with toasted jasmine rice and tuna broth, butter chicken, whole fried grouper with peanuts and chilli lime and tofu masamam curry, you’ve got everything you need for a gastronomic jaunt around the continent. While the saké collection is solid, walls of glass-concealed wine bottles shouldn’t be seen as simply decoration, the list here is worth a dive.
