Possibly the first combined boutique brewery and restaurant in East and Central Africa, the team behind Sierra Beers honed their skills at the Gordon Biersch Brewery in San Francisco. Start with a cold one on their sun-trap terrace before moving in to a chic dining room that is tastefully decorated in varying shades of grey. Globetrotting menus jump from Africa to the Mediterranean, with a few flavours borrowed from Asia along the way. Try a 28-day aged steak with blue cheese, Malaysian laksa or vegan sharing platter, followed by chocolate cake with salted caramel sauce and praline ice cream.
