Polished marble floors and black-and-white photographs are sleek accessories for this modern Indian fine-diner. Nadodi (meaning ‘nomad’) is a homage to the journey made by Kerala’s nomadic tribes over the land bridge that once existed to Sri Lanka and a study in general about how food, like people, defies borders. Chef Sricharan Venkatesh – formerly of Bangkok’s lauded Gaggan – draws on often overlooked ingredients and reimagines them to create colourful set menus, including the likes of local red snapper with tamarind barley or lamb and mutton curry with agata potatoes.
