In the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains in the south of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula, Flora Farms is a 25-acre organic property that is home to a restaurant, bar, spa and grocery store, each showcasing its homegrown produce. Originally in San José del Cabo town, the restaurant – Flora’s Field Kitchen – has now relocated to the farm so that each ingredient is grown just moments from the table. Shunning beef, which is unsustainable in the desert, the restaurant serves homegrown veg alongside meat from its nearby 150-acre ranch, where all animals are reared without hormones or antibiotics. With magical views of the mountains in the distance and the cactus, palms and sunflowers up close, this is a truly peaceful place to enjoy a special-occasion meal.
