Branie draws on South-East Asia for inspiration, particularly when it comes to its menu of small sharing plates, but doesn’t allow itself to be restricted by this either, with options such as aguachile and steak chimichurri rubbing shoulders with bao and won ton. Cocktails are elegant and understated, such as the simply-presented Bergamot Mule made with Dutch jenever, bergamot, lemon and ginger beer. The interior of this eclectic venue, with its unassuming shopfront, is casual and comfortable, with a delightful street terrace out front to enjoy all of this while watching the world go by.
