The Singapore outpost of Employees Only opened in 2016, 12 years after the original New York City launch. Spearheaded by Igor Hadzismajlovic, one of the NYC founders, the Singapore venue is tricky to find: look for the neon ‘Psychic’ sign. Inside, a curved bar is illuminated by antique pendant lights, with an elevated dining area. Feast on steak tartare and bone marrow poppers before moving on to flawlessly executed cocktails such as the ‘Fraise Savage’ (Tanqueray gin, wild strawberries, Tahitian vanilla and prosecco). Cups of warm chicken soup are handed out at closing time.
