One of Barcelona’s most popular tapas spots, Gresca is a cosy, unpretentious neighbourhood restaurant that never goes out of fashion. Watch the chefs at work while sampling grilled eggplant, cod fritters and the best anchovies in town. There are two reasonably priced tasting menus from the main restaurant or an à la carte with superlative wines at Gresca Bar next door. A must-try is the mushroom ‘bikini,’ a house version of the classic Catalan toasted sandwich with melted cheese and egg yolk.
