This long-awaited cocktail bar from industry veterans Joe and Daniel Schofield saw the brothers return to their hometown of Manchester. In keeping with its location in art deco building Sunlight House, built in the cocktail bar heyday of the 1930s, the bar is a tribute to this classic time, in appearance and in its drinks too. The core of the list consists of faithful classics, from Bellinis to Sazeracs, via Martinis and Manhattans, accompanied by a selection of in-house creations. There’s a selection of bar food to accompany, as well as teas and coffees, and a Temperance selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. The setting for all of this is sumptuous, with dark tones and leather seating, and friendly service from staff in white aprons. Don’t miss the spacious terrace either.
