As the second location of one of Chicago’s most beloved dining institutions, Avec River North has a much larger footprint than its West Loop counterpart, with no communal seating and decor that feels brighter than the original. Paul Kahan’s soulful Midwestern-meets-Mediterranean cuisine remains just as memorable – regulars will tell you to try the chorizo-stuffed, bacon-wrapped dates and taleggio flatbread before proceeding to larger dishes like pasta and pizza.
