Nobody's Darling

Chicago, US

Dubbed "Chicago's Queer Cheers," Nobody's Darling is a low-key neighborhood cocktail joint in Andersonville named after the Alice Walker poem that champions the world's outcasts and misfits. Opened by two Black and queer women—Angela Barnes and Renauda Riddle—the community-centric watering hole always feels high-energy and uses as many Black and queer-owned spirits as possible to make the house cocktails. Most of the drinks on the menu are "elevated" versions of classics, with some "lavish" options for special occasions, and a small section for zero-proof drinks to satisfy those who are not partaking at the moment. Expect a diverse crowd on any given night, with upbeat tunes, plenty of regulars, and friendly faces mixing up delicious drinks behind the bar.
