One of the tallest buildings in Miami Beach, the Jean-Michael Gathy designed The Setai is a South Beach landmark. A celebrity favourite, the Asian deco interior is equally celebrated for its luxurious design. Black marble, earthy woods and eastern art are deployed liberally from the two story lobby to each of the 137 suites. Four poster Scandinavian Modern beds, Frette linens and striking views make for an excellent sleep. The grounds are dotted with scenic pools and well as three infinity pools. The hotel’s white sand beach features daybeds, jet-ski rentals and Beach Kitchen, an eatery and bar with a zero carbon footprint. Five outlets are available to guests, but locals favour Jaya; the pan-Asian fine dining spot known for their Peking Duck. The Bar and Courtyard offers craft cocktails with an emphasis on Japanese whisky. The Setai’s elite status really manifests itself in a talent for anticipating and fulfilling guests’ every desire.
