After sitting dormant for over eight years, Milady’s was revived in 2022 by New York bartending legend Julie Reiner, the mastermind behind Pegu Club, Leyenda, Clover Club and many more lauded establishments. Within the revitalised SoHo bar, Reiner pays homage to the convivial spirit that earned the venue its cult-like following over the prior decades it faithfully served the neighbourhood. Now, as to be expected of a venue under Reiner’s command, its revolutionised cocktail programme is saturated with heavy hitters, enhanced by the light-hearted fun that infiltrates its way into every element of the bar. Its namesake Martini, made with gin, rose vermouth, fino sherry and amaro, is available in both ‘Cheeky Size’ and ‘Full Figure’. Should the night require it, a tray of jello shots, known internally as ‘Jigglers’, elevates the party classic to something fit for a world-class cocktail outpost. If hunger strikes, a range of classic dive-bar snacking options is also on offer.
