Then think crystal-encrusted champagne bar, zebra-print cushions and a baobab-inspired ceiling installation that gently changes colour, and you will begin to picture this unapologetic restaurant from unstoppable restaurateur Natasha Sideris. These interiors are naturally a draw for Instagrammers, but the food puts in an equally strong fight for its time in the limelight. Crab and lobster croquettes served with a saffron aioli on a bed of fennel salad or its salmon Wellington in a beurre blanc could all equally be the star of the show. Cocktails inspired by Africa are exquisite: The Flamingo is a feather-light combination of egg white, raspberry and gin, while the Cheeky Monkey includes banana cordial and leaf extracts. Oh, did we mention it is located inside Jumeriah Al Nassem's turtle lagoon?
