Location, location, location: Housed in a strikingly imposing three-story building in the bustling heart of São Paulo in the upscale Jardim Paulistano neighbourhood, Tuju stands out with its seamless blend of inventive cuisine and exceptional service. The imposing, airy, and modern space – with decor blending natural materials and lush gardens – enhances the service, elevating hospitality across three distinct areas: a bar-patio on the ground floor, the main dining room on the second floor, and a terrace for post-dinner moments. In each space, meticulous attention to detail makes all the difference in making guests feel welcomed and cared for.

The vibe: Led by chef Ivan Ralston, the restaurant’s 10-course menu pays homage to Brazil’s distinct rainy seasons, showcasing locally sourced, seasonal ingredients through creative techniques.

Great plates: Dishes such as cauliflower with peanut cream and mushrooms, finished with white chocolate, or scallops paired with nasturtium and flower-shaped yacon potato slices allow the ingredients to truly shine. Each plate at Tuju reflects São Paulo’s rich and varied local produce, executed with precision and flair. Less than a year after reopening – following a three-year closure after its time in Vila Madalena – the restaurant earned two Michelin stars.

Award-winning hospitality: Serving only one-third of the number of guests compared to the former venue, the new Tuju focuses on outstanding service as its secret ingredient. This meticulous effort has earned Tuju the prestigious Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award 2024 for dining excellence and reinforced its goal to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for its guests.
