11 Woodfire

Dubai

From starters to desserts, it’s all smoking hot

No smoke without… Fire is the theme of this concept, where diners are likely to find dishes infused with the scents of hickory or pine. Ingredients are of the highest quality, with equal footing given to meat, seafood and vegetables on the menu. Must-try dishes include the wagyu burger (smothered in gouda cheese and sriracha) and the burnt cheesecake made with goat’s cheese.

Who’s on the pass? Chef Brando Moros has more than 15 years of experience under his belt. With an unwavering passion for the power of wood-fired grilling and a philosophy of "elevating simplicity", he creates a dining experience that is both soulful and innovative. Born and raised in Colombia, the chef started cooking at a young age, driven by his unparalleled curiosity for flavours and techniques and guided by a connection to his culinary heritage.

Ace space: Housed in a villa with a large courtyard in Dubai’s Jumeirah district, 11 Woodfire’s spacious interior nails minimalist industrial chic with wood and exposed ceilings, along with a large open kitchen.

Celebs in attendance: Dubai is no stranger to celeb spotting, but 11 Woodfire has had its share of the stars wanting to taste its fare. From members of the UAE’s royal family to tennis champ Roger Federer, the restaurant has remained a firm favourite among the elite.

Zero-proof power: The restaurant is unlicensed, but the team has really focused on its zero-proof menu. Highlights include the tea trolley and botanical-inspired drinks, all of which perfectly complement the food.
