The seventh edition of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, will be revealed at the annual awards ceremony as part of the event programme set to take place in Macao from March 25-26.
The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019 events will take place in Macao on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th of March, with the region’s most acclaimed chefs, restaurateurs, gastronomic journalists and foodies now preparing for the long-awaited announcement of the new list and special awards.
The seventh edition of the list will be revealed on Tuesday 26th of March at Macao’s Wynn Palace Cotai. The 2019 program includes the annual Chefs’ Feast on Monday 25th March and a new edition of #50BestTalks, presented by Miele, a thought-leadership forum focused on current trends and issues in the gastronomic world.
Drawing on the theme of ‘Vital Ingredients’, the event – which will take place the morning of March 25 – will see leading chefs from the region discuss ideas around sustainability, sourcing, over-consumption and related issues currently facing cooks, restaurateurs and diners.
For the second year, the event program will take place in the city-state of Macao in Asia. A fast-evolving foodie destination, Macao welcomed the chefs and restaurateurs of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018 with an array of markets, unique culinary experiences and cultural sights.
Visiting chefs Manish Mehrotra, Jason Tan, Hiroyasu Kawate, Ton Tassanakajohn, Jordy Navarra and Hiroe Higuchi were taken on a tour of historic and modern Macao with local Wynn chefs Weng Keong, Alfredo Ho and Chow Chiu Chin. Stay tuned for the video, coming soon.
