A star-studded line-up of Canadian bar talent is headed to Vancouver's Prophecy for an exclusive event on Sunday 27 April. Here’s what you need to know and how you can attend.
As the upcoming reveal of North America’s 50 Best Bars 2025 is set to bring the region’s leading cocktail talent to Vancouver from 27-30 April, 50 Best is marking its Canadian debut with a momentous collaboration between some of the country’s most celebrated cocktailians.
From 6pm until midnight on Sunday 27 April, the 50 Best Signature Session: O Canada! will bring together nine notable bars and individuals from Calgary to Montreal under one roof. Rotating throughout the evening in 90-minute windows, bar-goers of the Pacific Northwest will have the opportunity to enjoy two or three cocktails from each of the lauded line-up and get a taste of their home bar.
Kicking off the event from 6pm to 7:30pm will be Toronto mainstay Civil Liberties (No.21 in the 2024 ranking of North America’s 50 Best Bars and The Best Bar in Canada 2024). The celebrated bar will be serving alongside Calliope Draper, winner of the 50 Best Bars Roku Scholarship 2024, who recently completed their international stage (internship) programme at High Five and Virtù in Tokyo and Sydney’s Maybe Sammy.
Taking the mantle from 7:30pm will be a trio of exciting drinkeries. Making its way from Montreal, the enigmatic Cloakroom (No.39 in 2024) will be joined by the dual-concept Simpl Things, winner of last year’s Campari One To Watch Award. Completing the session is renowned fermentation specialist Mother (No.37 in the 2023 ranking).

From 9pm until 10:30pm, buzzy Bar Mordecai (No.40 in 2024) will serve up a selection of its signature fun-fuelled creations alongside Missy’s, whose $9.50 Happy Hour martinis have become a staple of Calgary’s cocktail scene.
Bringing the celebratory evening to a close from 10:30pm to midnight will be the powerhouse duo of Bar Pompette, recently revealed as the recipient of the Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award 2025, and Atwater Cocktail Club (No.50 in 2024) in Montreal, led by the inimitable Kate Boushel, winner of the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award 2024.
This exclusive event will be hosted at Vancouver’s Prophecy, a subterranean bar ensconced within the glamorous Rosewood Hotel Georgia that was recently added to the expert-approved 50 Best Discovery database. A selection of Prophecy’s signature serves will be available throughout the evening.
