For the first time in its history, the ceremony for The World’s 50 Best Bars leaves London to take place in Barcelona on 4th October 2022 at 20:15 local time. The eyes of the cocktail world will be trained on Cúpula de las Arenas in the heart of the Catalonian capital as the world will learn which venue will be named The World’s Best Bar 2022, sponsored by Perrier. Get an exclusive look at the digital programme for the night, which contains all the important details, alongside an in-depth rundown of the three finalists competing to be named the inaugural winner of the 50 Best Bars The Blend Scholarship.

To celebrate the world’s most influential bars ranking, 50 Best’s host partner Escolà, the Barcelona-based drinks distribution company, is planning a cocktail week to end all cocktail weeks between 1st and 9th October. Ninety-six bars and 53 hotels are involved, where visitors to the city can purchase a wristband (€7) and receive a discounted 50 Best Week cocktail in the participating venues.

Back again, it’s the ever-popular extended list of bars ranked between 51st and 100th for 2022, which this year features more new entries than ever before and reveals four cities that have never featured in the list. The names and locations of these bars from across the globe will be revealed on 27th September at 10:00 UK time on the 50 Best Bars TV YouTube channel and @50BestBars’ Instagram Stories.

Join us as we reveal The World’s 50 Best Bars 2022, sponsored by Perrier, live from Barcelona. The show will begin with coverage from the red carpet as more than 1,000 of the world’s cocktail luminaries arrive for the biggest World’s 50 Best Bars gathering of all time.
The awards ceremony will include a live countdown from No.50 to No.1, the announcement of several special accolades and appearances from some of the best-known bartenders on the planet. The show will culminate in the reveal of The World’s Best Bar 2022, sponsored by Perrier. Immediately after it has been announced, head to 50 Best Bars Instagram for the first exclusive interview, then to YouTube for the official livestream of the press conference with representatives from the bar revealed as the No.1.

Bartenders’ Feast – 3rd October
All bartenders who have made this year’s 50 Best list will be heading to Casa Bonay hotel for a night of celebration the night before the main event. Follow the action live on the 50 Best Bars Instagram channel.
Recovery Brunch – 5th October
The morning after the night before, all listed bartenders, members of the media and representatives from 50 Best’s partner brands will head to Tope on the rooftop of The Hoxton hotel for restorative Mexican food set to tropical tunes from legendary DJ, Habibi Funk.
