50 Best is returning with a live event for The World’s 50 Best Bars 2021 awards ceremony, sponsored by Perrier, on 7th December 2021. The event and list announcement – hosted in London and streamed live across the globe – will mark a key milestone in the recovery of the bar sector. Here’s how to tune in to all the action as it unfolds…
It’s been 25 months since the last in-person ceremony of The World’s 50 Best Bars and there is little left to say about the hardships of that intervening period that has not already been said. With the return to the first 50 Best Bars live event since 2019, we look to the future.
At 20:15 GMT on 7th December the eyes of the cocktail world will be trained on London’s Roundhouse for the announcements of a series of special awards and countdown of The World’s 50 Best Bars from No.50 to No.1, hosted by ex-Top Gear presenter Rory Reid. For what to expect, get an exclusive look at the digital programme for the event, which contains all of the important details of the night.
Breaking The Ice – 29th November; 30th November; 1st December
For each Breaking The Ice episode, 50 Best brings two leading bartenders from a featured city together for frank and honest conversation. The pair take turns to draw cards at random from a deck, asking each other questions to get to know more about their character, learn what it takes to become a world-leading bartender and discuss their local bar scene. The series was launched in 2021 to celebrate Asia’s 50 Best Bars. Check out these episodes in Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok to get a taste.
Join us on Facebook at 11:00 GMT on the above dates to get up close and personal with some of the finest bartenders in the world.
