What's the style? While the core of the food at Odette is predominantly French at heart, chef-patron Julien Royer has been in Singapore since 2008, and openly embraces the use of ingredients and techniques commonly found in Asia. You’ll often find Japanese fish and citrus featuring on his menu, or even a salad where all the herbs and leaves are grown in a local farm. No ingredient is truly off limits, as long as the quality is up to the chef’s exacting standards.

Signature dishes: Odette, named after Royer’s grandmother, has a wide repertoire, so it won’t be a surprise to see a completely different menu in each dining table. To help guests choose, the Rosemary Smoked Organic Egg and Heirloom Beetroot Variation are two signatures that must be experienced.

A destination location: The restaurant is housed in the iconic National Gallery of Singapore, and the elegant decoration of the space makes dinners feel the eatery is an extension of the gallery itself with art installations hanging from the ceiling, modern furniture and harmonised colour scheme.

What makes Odette so special? Odette was ranked No.1 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list for two consecutive years in 2019 and 2020, making it one of the most desirable dining destinations in the world. The restaurant is known for its delectable cuisine and exceptional service team, who make every guest feel at home, elements also that led them to win the Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award in 2022. A year later, Royer was individually celebrated as the winner of the Estrella Damm Chefs’ Choice Award at The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023.

A sweetener: Pastry chef Louisa Lim, a behind-the-scenes talent in the Odette kitchen for a number of years, was also named Asia’s Best Pastry Chef 2023. One can therefore also expect a range of sumptuous dessert offerings that round out the exquisite Odette experience.
