Bar 878 celebrated its 15th birthday this year, but this laid-back hideaway still feels fresh as a daisy. Once a straight-up speakeasy, operations are now strictly kosher although the discreet entrance means you need to be damn sure where you're heading. Drinks are simple but effective with no Instagram-focused fanfare and there's a stellar list of Argentinian wines, to boot. It's also worth calling in for ‘Vermouth Hour’, which runs from 7-9pm on weeknights when you can bag two cocktails for around $5.
