The small but perfectly formed Chintonería, located in the gastronomic hub of Pasaje Echeverría near Buenos Aires’ Chinatown, is headed up by Argentinian cocktail pioneer Pablo Pinata. Guests are greeted here by an abundance of bright orange – from the neon sign outside to the walls, not to mention the staff uniforms. This is a place for fans of juniper, with an array of signature cocktails exclusively made with gin, such as the Chan Day, with local Argentinian gin, passion fruit tea syrup and lime, or the Negronico, which is made with a Negroni reduction. If that’s not enough gin, there’s a dedicated G&T menu too, and an extensive selection of classics on offer, all to be enjoyed either in the cosy bar or outside.
