Located towards the south end of Copacabana beach, Alloro al Miramar boasts stunning views stretching along the Rio de Janeiro coastline towards the iconic Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf Mountain). The elegant, wood-panelled dining room is located on the ground floor of the Miramar Hotel by Windsor, where chef Michele Petenzi serves a menu of regional Italian cuisine from linguine laced with butter and anchovies to tuna tartare, Luciana-style octopus gnocchi and and delicate fish ravioli served with prawns, burrata and a fiery vodka sauce. Look out for inventive twists, such as the tirami-choux, a spin on the Italian classic dessert, comprising a chocolate beignet filled with coffee and mascarpone cream. Come in time for sunset and order an Aperol spritz to kick off a romantic meal.
