Jackie Kennedy put Elephant Bar on the map when she stayed in Phnom Penh’s Raffles Hotel in 1967, on her way to fulfil a life-long dream of visiting Angkor Wat. She was hosted at a special reception where no ordinary drink would do so a special cocktail – and even a bespoke glass – were created: the ‘Femme Fatale’. It combines champagne, cognac and Crème à la Fraise des Bois and is still on the menu today, so bring your best headscarf and your biggest sunglasses in homage.
