This stylish Montreal speakeasy is accessed by ringing a bell next to its imposing black door and awaiting admission from one of the bartenders. Inside, it’s been carefully designed by owner Kevin Demers, transforming a former industrial cold room into an intimate cocktail lounge that has plenty of cosy nooks. Having made a name for itself as a local celebrity hotspot, people-watching is one of Coldroom’s draws, but its drinks should be enough to attract guests – based on classics with innovative twists and flavours. Staff are knowledgeable, dedicated and efficient.
