Lingnan House

Lingnan House is the height of luxury (literally). Part of the Guangzhou Rosewood hotel which itself is set within China's tallest building, the 530-meter-high Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre. The restaurant interior is a masterclass in refined eclecticism, with stripped wooden floors and columns, quilted leather armchairs and three spectacular private dining rooms, surrounded by stained glass windows and each with a private terrace. The hotel only opened in 2019, but began receiving recognition immediately, serving a menu inspired by both the regional classics of the Guangdong province and favourites from throughout China overseen by chef Bill Feng and making the most of local ingredients. A meal could include a selection of handmade dim sum, small plates like abalone with Sichuan chilli, a selection of barbecued meats, from goose to suckling pig and a selection of lesser-known seafood like giant geoduck seawater clams, served with black truffle.
