Benoit Paris
Paris, France
Benoit has been tempting Parisians with its garlicky snails, slivers of beef cheek and jumbo profiteroles since 1912. Today, as part of Alain Ducasse’s stable of restaurants, it is the only bistro in the city to hold a Michelin star. Its dining area is a haven of comfort, boasting red velvet banquettes, brass fittings and potted plants, while overhead, the ceiling’s blue trompe-l'œil sports little fluffy clouds. The family friendly menu of expertly prepared classics is complemented by an outstanding wine list curated by the group’s chief sommelier Gérard Margeon.
