The only standalone bar from the Union Group (Benedict, Bistecca, Pierre, Roma and more), the Cocktail Club is a bustling place that draws crowds from the Sudirman central business district and beyond for upbeat times and delicious drinks. With a design that could be summed up as vintage art deco meets lush Indonesian warmth, a curvaceous bar allows for good views of the liquor cabinets that line the back bar, and vintage booze posters add nostalgic joy from their perch on tile walls. The fulcrum of the drinks offering is signatures and classics with a few tips and jolly songs thrown in, according to the menu – and it duly delivers, with several pages of the extensive menu dedicated to song lyrics and at-home mixing advice. A voluminous whisky collection is a bonus, and bar snacks come from the kitchen at downstairs restaurant Pierre.
