Mudec

Milan, Italy

If you count success in terms of stars then Enrico Bartolini would be Italy’s winner. The chef holds an inimitable 13 Michelin stars across his various restaurants, including the much-coveted three at his Enrico Bartolini Mudec Restaurant on the third floor of Mudec - Museo delle Culture in Milan. The art museum provides the ideal inspiration for Bartolini, where he combines a respect for terroir and tradition with the same creativity and curiosity found in the gallery’s exhibitions, forging his own works of gourmet art. Menus change with the seasons, but the one great classic Enrico Bartolini dish to seek out is the sensational risotto with red turnips and ‘Evoluzione’ gorgonzola sauce. The wine list showcases an impressive 800 or so labels from Italy and beyond and, like Bartolini’s culinary creations, references the art world with more than one hundred and seventy illustrations signed by street artist Teo KayKay.
