As a Prohibition era-inspired speakeasy, there's very little to identify Kyoto's Bee's Knees from the outside, aside from a yellow door and bee signage. Once inside the speakeasy vibe continues in this welcoming, dimly lit space, with a somewhat incongruous 1990s hip-hop soundtrack. The bar's cocktail offering returns to the theme, with several twists on Roaring Twenties classics alongside other creations, such as the ‘Astronaut’, made with Ki No Tea Gin, homemade cassis jam, fresh lemon and in-house orange bitters.
