Ashley Sutton's Bangkok bars are instantly recognisable, imbued with eccentric details and an accomplished drinks list that doesn't take itself too seriously. His other venues include Iron Fairies, but the Iron Balls Distillery might be his most ambitious. The bar is centred around a still, where Iron Balls Gin is made, and, understandably, you'll find it commanding the drink list. You can choose a fancy G&T or an original cocktail like the ‘Charred Sandalwood Negroni’, which mixes the gin with Campari, Antica Formula, charred sandalwood bitters and orange zest. The venue has recently started producing vodka too, and tours of the distillery can be pre-booked.
