Locust

Nashville, US

One of the buzziest spots in town, catering to a wide variety of guests, Locust is a superstar of the Nashville dining scene. The kitchen is helmed by chef Trevor Moran, formerly of The Catbird Seat, whose unorthodox approach to service and style is what makes the place so special. Instead of regular dinner service, dumplings and drinks (plus kakigori shaved ice) are the main draw during walk-in hours from 6pm-9pm; During lunch hours, the restaurant offers a full menu that rotates daily, spotlighting seafood dishes and an extensive raw bar. Reservations are required for lunch and often get snatched up within minutes of the monthly announcement. The bright and sleek, minimalist space comes alive during both periods of the day, with high-energy music on the stereo, and chefs taking a personalized approach to delivering food and chatting with guests. Locust accommodates tables of four and under only, and vegetarian options are not available.
