Bamboo Bar is a serious upgrade for your usual poolside drinks dispensary, as you'd expect from one of Hanoi's most luxurious hotels, the award-winning colonial Metropole. Beneath its thatched roof you'll find polished wood surfaces, plush armchairs and a handful of seats up at the bar counter. The cocktail list is a bijou affair, with just five original creations changing on a seasonal basis, alongside the signature ‘Graham Greene Martini’. Bar snacks are a combination of Vietnamese bites like summer rolls and dim sum, with the odd Western inclusion such as fish and chips.
