Spending the evening at this much-loved neighbourhood-restaurant in Neukölln’s gentrified-but-still-cool Schillerkiez is almost always a good idea. There’s nothing ground-breaking about its natural wine, sharing plates and stripped-back interiors concept, but each of these pillars is executed so well it’s impossible to come away feeling anything other than warm and fuzzy. Each of the founders (and friends) brings something different to the party. Where Daniel Remers’ unbeatable eye for quality produce ensures each plate is simple and comforting, Kerry Westhead oversees an unfussy and fun service. It is only open during the week and an excellent option for Monday night, when many other restaurants in the area close.
