Quality and contrast are buzzwords at this chic Israeli restaurant in Charlottenburg. The clientele mainly consists of well-heeled couples and businesspeople talking deals, attracted by the air of casual sophistication and six-course tasting menus that hold pleasure paramount. Gal Ben Moshe started his culinary career under notable chefs such as Jason Atherton, Marcus Wareing and Grant Achatz and in 2020, he became the second Israeli chef in the world to be awarded a Michelin star. His cooking includes plenty of meat flame-licked on a josper grill, as well as proteins cooked sous vide. Up for trying some new wines? A collection of 230 overseen by sommelier Jacqueline Lorenz has interesting labels from Syria, Lebanon and Israel; most are excellent value and available by the glass.
