ZLB23

Bengaluru, India

Waltz through the grounds of Bengaluru’s iconic Leela Palace Hotel, head down a service lift and peek past plush red velvet curtains to find ZLB23: a discreet, yet high-energy Prohibition-era speakeasy where vibes are always high and delicious drinks are always flowing. Its cocktail list is divided in two, with the first side comprising Prohibition-style drinks. Expect honed-in versions of the classics, such as its bee’s knees, made with gin, honey and pea tea. The other half of the menu is populated with Japanese-influenced cocktails, where the ZLB23 takes a more playful and contemporary approach to its drinks creation. The Shoyu Ramen cocktail, for example, combines shiro miso, light shoyu, tequila and sake for a drink that embodies the umami-rich essence of the dish in a sippable form. The bar also houses one of the city’s most extensive ranges of collectable whiskies and other spirits on its back bar.
