The Bar at Aman Venice
Venice, Italy
Lord Byron, among the most famous historic residents of Venice, is the inspiration for the bar within Aman Venice, located in the hotel’s Red Room, alongside a secret garden beside the Grand Canal. This garden is open throughout the warmer months, and is arguably the best place in the city to take in the Venetian sunset. This beautifully-appointed space, which features an original Cesare Rotta fresco and silk coverings on the walls, has history dating back to the 16th century. Bar manager Antonio Ferrara creates refined and intricate drinks such as Incanto, inspired by a fresco in the hotel’s Guarana Room, made with bourbon-barrel-aged Campari, Lost Explorer Espadin Mezcal, chili liqueur and Grand Marnier Cuvée du Centenaire, finished with a house-made raspberry soda. The bar is home to the city’s largest collection of gins and also serves tea and snacks until late, including the bar’s take on traditional Venetian cicchetti.
