It took almost no time from when it opened in late 2018 for the hidden bar located within the Shangri-La Hotel at the Fort to enter the ranks of Asia's 50 Best Bars. They take their speakeasy style seriously here, from the 1920s decor to the Prohibition-era inspired cocktails – even the bar team look the part, all flat caps, waistcoats and flapper dresses. There's a drinks lab, even more hidden away, where various distillates, including the bar's own Bee’s Knees gin, are produced.
