Lunch Room
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
- No.31 Middle East and North Africa's 50 Best Restaurants 2025
Self-described as ‘the first brunch room destination’ in Riyadh, Lunch Room is all about serving up comforting classics to as many people as possible each day. The casual eatery opened its doors in 2022, and has become a lauded destination among brunch-enjoyers since, with reservations often fully booked months in advance. Behind the project is a partnership between chef Ahmad Al-Bader and Trofi Projects, who previously worked together on Chestnut Bakery and Gunbun. Chef Al-Bader uses a global palate for inspiration when crafting his mid-morning favourites, with Indian and Arabic cuisines being the most prominent influences. A wood fire clay oven acts as the heart of the venue, transforming hot dishes and baking its signature 48-hour sourdough loaves all day long. Expect sesame-crusted feta with miso caramel tahini, and bombay French toast made with brioche and served with poached pear and vanilla mascarpone. Its lasagna is a fan-favourite and must-order. Whether sweet-toothed or savoury hound, there’s something for every taste at Lunch Room.
