Tokyo has a history spanning almost 40 years, making it one of Saudi Arabia's original Japanese restaurants, but just last year this behemoth of a site was given a revamp, with all new interiors and even new menus to bring it right into the 21st century. The look is a breath of fresh air, with Japanese-inspired murals, slotted wooden screens, atmospheric lighting and an incredible installation of miniature paper cranes hanging from the ceiling. The menu is vast, taking you from classic sashimi and nigiri to fusion dishes like wagyu sliders and crispy tacos stuffed with prawns, via a selection of enticing maki and temaki rolls – pro-tip, get a taste of Tokyo's greatest hits with its 22-piece sharing platter. The restaurant is also known for its outstanding selection of mocktails made with fresh juices like muskmelon, plum and rambutan.
