Coya

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Since its London debut in 2012, Coya has expanded around the world, bringing its own spirited brand of contemporary Peruvian culture and cuisine to destinations including Monaco, Mykonos and Marbella. This outpost, in Riyadh’s Sulaimaniya district, opened in 2022, unveiling a soaring, Sagrada-designed dining room characterised by a bold turquoise and gold colour scheme, tasselled lampshades, bronze and brass statement lighting and an outdoor terrace, all punctuated by a profusion of vibrant foliage. All the Coya favourites are on the lunch and dinner menus, from ceviche to tiraditos and anticuchos (grilled fish, meat and vegetable skewers). South American beats and organic house music come courtesy of COYA’s own music label, ensuring that the perennially popular Coya weekend brunch is a lively affair. Who says churros and a banana smoothie don’t constitute a breakfast of champions?
