Lusin is part of a small but successful group of Riyadh-based Armenian restaurants (with a further branch in London's chi-chi Mayfair district), and this branch within the luxe Centria Mall is without doubt one of the city's most stylish dining rooms. Decked out in earthy tones with an eye-catching honeycomb-style light installation on the ceiling there's a slightly rustic sense of modern luxury, which continues out onto the restaurant's terrace, offering views across Riyadh. Menu-wise there's a selection of hot and cold mezze, with dishes like Armenian toushka bread stuffed with spicy mince and cheese or aubergine rolls filled with cream and walnuts, topped with pomegranate seeds. There are also a number of house specials like soborak: layers of pastry, cheese and peppers, baked in the oven for a gooey and indulgent taste of Armenia's traditional delicacies.
